PlacerBeast is a product of Just Software LLC. References to "we", "us", or "our" in these terms refer to Just Software LLC.

Acceptance

By using PlacerBeast ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

PlacerBeast is a web application for creating top-down dungeon maps. Maps are assembled from hand-crafted tile art, with AI used to arrange and lay out tiles based on your descriptions. The Service is provided free of charge.

Your Account

• You may sign in using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Your Content

• You retain ownership of the maps you create.
• By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your prompts and maps as necessary to provide the Service and improve its quality.
• You are responsible for any content you create or share through the Service.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or abuse the Service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or automated-access the Service beyond normal use.
• Circumvent rate limits or access controls.

AI-Assisted Layout

Maps are arranged using Google's Gemini AI models, which determine how hand-crafted tiles are placed based on your descriptions. AI-assisted layouts may occasionally be unexpected or require manual adjustment. We do not guarantee the quality or suitability of any particular layout.

Tile Pack Licensing

The Service includes tile packs from third-party creators. Each tile pack has its own license (viewable via the info button in the app). You are responsible for complying with those licenses when exporting or sharing maps that use those tiles.

Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uptime. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.

Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
